Media Access and Reporting Policy

Cold Spring Harbor Asia (CSHA) welcomes responsible, accurate, and independent media coverage of its conferences, advanced training courses, workshops, and public events. We believe that effective communication of scientific advances benefits both the scientific community and society.

To facilitate accurate reporting while preserving the identity of the scientific platform, media representatives requesting access to CSHA events are asked to observe the following principles.

1. Institutional Attribution

Media coverage should accurately identify Cold Spring Harbor Asia (CSHA) as the organizing institution whenever reporting on a CSHA conference, course, workshop, or public event.

This attribution provides readers with appropriate institutional context and acknowledges the scientific platform responsible for organizing the event.

2. Visual Attribution

When photographs or video recordings of the meeting venue or conference activities are published or broadcast, media representatives are encouraged, whenever reasonably practicable, to preserve visible elements identifying Cold Spring Harbor Asia (CSHA) as the organizing institution, such as the official meeting banner, conference signage, or CSHA logo.

The purpose of this request is to ensure that readers and viewers can readily recognize the organizing institution responsible for the event.

3. Media Access

Media representatives are welcome to attend CSHA events upon prior registration and approval by CSHA.

Interviews, photography, audio recording, and video recording should be conducted in a manner that respects the scientific program and the wishes of participating speakers.

4. Scientific Integrity

Media representatives are expected to respect restrictions concerning unpublished data, confidential information, embargoed material, and proprietary research whenever applicable.

5. Factual Accuracy

CSHA is pleased to assist journalists in verifying factual information relating to meeting logistics, institutional names, speaker affiliations, and organizational details before publication whenever helpful.

6. Editorial Independence

CSHA fully respects the editorial independence of journalists and media organizations.

Editorial opinions, scientific interpretation, conclusions, and reporting style remain entirely the responsibility of the publication or broadcaster.

7. Scientific Responsibility

All abstracts, oral presentations, posters, and other scientific materials presented at CSHA conferences, courses, workshops, and public events are the sole responsibility of their respective authors.

Their presentation at a CSHA event does not constitute endorsement by Cold Spring Harbor Asia (CSHA).
